The Orbi Mesh WiFi system amplifies the Internet service extraordinarily. Orbi RBK863 router is composed of one router and two satellites. Orbi router connects with the modem and the WiFi signal strength is extended by the satellites. Let’s understand the RBK863 router setup process step by step:

Connect Your Router

• Put the modem in the wall socket and switch it on.
• With the help of an Ethernet cable connect the modem with the router.
• Now insert the power adapter in an electrical outlet from the other end join it with a router.

Sync Orbi Satellite with Your Orbi Router

First of all connect the satellite with the power source, when the Orbi satellite LED starts to blink white satellite will automatically sync with the Orbi router. When the LED colour becomes solid blue indicates the successful synced.

Now let’s move forward with setting up connection with Orbi RBK863 network via wired or WiFi connection.

Wired Connection

You can connect your PC with the router using an Ethernet cable and join the router’s LAN (local area network). Connect the cable with the router from one end and the computer from other end. Make sure that the router is receiving power.

WiFi Connection

You can connect the Orbi router’s WiFi network by scanning QR code on your router. Make sure router is receiving power; on your WiFi enabled device find the Orbi network by entering password on the router label.

WiFi connection using WPS

Make sure that router is receiving power. You can establish the connection by pressing the sync button on the router first and after a pause of two minutes press it on your WiFi enabled device. Now your PC or mobile device connects with the WiFi network.

Log in to the Orbi router web interface

From your Orbi network connected PC or mobile device launch a web browser and enter orbilogin. Feed in the admin credentials into the login window. Now, you can edit the changes if required.

Change the WiFi Password

To change the admin credentials you can find it on the router label. Once you alter the WiFi settings on the router, satellite will automatically receive the new settings. Launch a web browser and enter orbilogin.com. Login into the home page and then click wireless for page setup. Under security options, select WPA button. In the Password network key edit the desired changes.

Update the router and satellite firmware

You can perform Orbi firmware update by checking through web interface about the latest version of firmware. Follow the steps below for more clarity:

Enter the orbilogin.com in the web browser of you PC or mobile. Enter the router’s admin credentials to login.

On the Home page select Advanced> Administration> Firmware Update> Online Update

Click check and if the latest version is available then select update all.

Factory settings for Orbi routers

To perform this, press the Reset button on the back of the Orbi router with the help of a paper clip or toothpick. Hold it for at least 7-8 seconds and then release it. Factory reset Orbi router is all done.
