Macard WiFi Extender Setup with Orbi Router Using Easy Steps

Connect Macard Extender to Orbi

There are two ways to connect the router to the extender by using the cable or WPS button wirelessly. Let’s go through them one by one.

By Using Ethernet Cable

• The first step is to place the extender close to the WiFi router.
• Use the network cable and insert to the extender and router ports.
• The pattern of the ports is extender’s LAN ports and router’s WAN ports.
• Start the extender by plugging it in to the wall socket and press power button.

By Using WPS Button

• At first, you have to turn on the extender by plugging it into wall socket and hitting On/Off button.
• Now, turn on the Orbi and press the WPS button on it, after that press the WPS (reset button) for one time.
• The router and extender will connect together automatically.

• Macard interface login page will displays on the computer screen, where you have to click on Login button, after choosing your language.
• Then, you must scan the device and enter the SSID details, create password of Macard range extender interface admin.
• Adjust the settings and networks with the help of this admin interface that you opened in your computer.

Orbi Router

Go to the interface of the Orbi using your computer, open the web browser, search orbilogin.net, enter the credentials, and select Settings> Firmware> click on Search and Update button.

Macard Extender

Access the Macard interface menu by using the IP address 192.168.10.1, go to the Settings and find the Firmware tab in the popup list. In the firmware tab, you will get the information about currently running firmware system, just click on UPDATE button, to start the process.

Change Admin Password of Both Device

Orbi Admin

Get access to the admin interface, go to the settings, click on the admin tab, here you will see admin current in use login credentials. Just select the password field to edit it, add a new password and save it.

Macard Interface

Go into the Macard interface menu and select admin option on upper corner of the screen. You will see the password and username fields, just click on the password field and enter your new password, save it by clicking on APPLY button.

Resetting Orbi and Macard Devices

Orbi Reset

To perform Orbi reset, just find the power On/Off button and press it two times, pressing it once will turn on the router and hitting it twice will reboot the device.

Macard Reset

To restart Macard device, plug it out of the electric wall socket and plug it into wall socket again to and you will successfully reboot the device.
